Bavaria's two
host cities for trade fairs and exhibitions, i.e. Munich and Nürnberg, are
joining the Bavarian State Ministry for the Economy, Infrastructure, Transport
and Technology in a joint initiative known as "Bayern Plus", a
trade-fair starter package designed to help start-ups and other companies get a
foothold in the marketplace.
The initiative addresses
companies that are based in Bavaria
and exhibiting at trade fairs and exhibitions for the first time ever or that
have not participated in a specific trade fair the last five years. "Bayern
Plus" is an extensive starter package that offers participating exhibitors
a number of advantages. They include a joint ad in the catalog, personal
consulting prior to and during the fair and their own turnkey stand.
Norbert Bargmann, Managing
Director at Munich International Trade Fairs, did everything he could to ensure
that MAINTAIN 2008, the International Trade Fair for Industrial Maintenance,
was one of the first trade fairs to offer this starter package: "We want
to give new companies and first-time exhibitors in the maintenance industry an
opportunity to participate in a trade fair that brings leading international
manufacturers and their customers together at a joint platform."
A total of seven companies
will introduce themselves to a highly qualified audience of trade visitors as
part of the "Bayern Plus" starter initiative at MAINTAIN 2008, which
takes place at the M,O,C, in Munich from October 14 -16, 2008.
B&P Kraftwerksanlagen GmbH decided to take advantage of the "Bayern
Plus" starter package to participate in MAINTAIN 2008. B&P Kraftwerksanlagen
GmbH specializes in CAD software for plant engineering and power-plant
technology. It develops and markets technical software for power plants and
process-engineering plants. Thanks to its CAD know-how, it fills the niche
between plant operators and manufacturers of operating software. According to Christa Bergmann,
Managing Director of B&P Kraftwerksanlagen GmbH, "Given these
conditions, the decision to participate in MAINTAIN 2008 was an easy one
because the package ensures optimum conditions for first-time exhibitors."
Gerhard Marschner, Managing Director of
ESL
Elektronik GmbH, is also a first-time exhibitor at MAINTAIN 2008: "We
have been supplying customers in a variety of sectors with reliable measuring
and control technology since 1990. An important aspect of that is the service
and repair of the solutions that we sell. Driven by customer inquiries, we have
continued to further develop our ability to do so and are now in a position to
offer repair and maintenance services in other branches of industry. Our
primary objective is to keep expensive measuring and control technology running
smoothly and to help operators of production facilities avoid having to invest
in expensive new technology. We hope that MAINTAIN 2008 will help us to make new contacts in various branches of
industry."
The activities of
ETL Verfahrenstechnik GmbH focus on
separation techniques and the treatment of liquids in particular. Besides a
variety of complete systems for separating oil and water, it manufactures
filters made of stainless steel mesh and metal fiber fleeces for ultra and
micro-filtration. "Participating in MAINTAIN is an important step for the
company and a chance to make new contacts and strengthen existing ones,"
explains Erich Lang, Managing Director of ETL
Verfahrenstechnik GmbH.
Intergraph
is the world's leading supplier of integrated engineering solutions for the
process industry, power-plant construction and the shipbuilding industry. "MAINTAIN
2008 is the perfect place for us to present our software solutions for the
maintenance sector to industry decision-makers," explains Barbara Dörges,
Marketing Manager at
Intergraph
(Deutschland) GmbH.
"mobileX
sells mobile IT solutions for field service and sales teams. We decided to
participate in MAINTAIN because our products offer a great deal of utility,
especially for the maintenance industry," says Julia Mayer,
Marketing Manager at
mobileX AG.
"ProPack AG has been manufacturing seals
and packaging in Germany
for 20 years. Users don't always need or want expensive, complicated sealing
systems. Our newly developed plants and machines are an important foundation
that allows us to put the latest findings from trials and practice to use. We
will introduce ourselves and this first-hand manufacturing know-how for the
first time ever at MAINTAIN," explains Siegfried Kindermann, Sales
Director at
ProPack Dichtungen und Packungen AG.
"
veoTEC GmbH sells MAINSPECTOR®, a
complete solution for computer-aided maintenance. We also offer professional
services in all areas of software development. We support our customers during
all phases of their projects, covering everything from architectural consulting
to implementation and commissioning," explains Gerlinde Bystrich,
