- MAINTAIN 2008 takes place at the M,O,C in Munich from October 14 - 16
- New event: Trend Forum on the topic of "Qualified personnel in the maintenance sector"
- Attractive program of related events for trade visitors
MAINTAIN, the International Trade Fair for Industrial Maintenance,
is being held at the M,O,C, in Munich
for the fourth time from October 14 – 16, 2008. Since its premiere three years
ago, MAINTAIN has permanently established itself as the leading trade fair for
the industrial-maintenance sector in Europe. Some
250 companies from Germany, Austria, Canada,
China, Great Britain, Switzerland
and the United States
have registered for this year's fair. Exhibitors at MAINTAIN 2008 will occupy
some 6,200 square meters of gross exhibition space in Halls 1, 2, 3 and A3 at
the M,O,C, Event Centre in Munich.
According Norbert Bargmann,
Managing Director of Munich International Trade Fairs, "MAINTAIN 2008 is
completely booked to capacity. Given the high demand among suppliers, we
decided to add additional exhibition space on the first upper of Hall A3 of the
M,O,C, to this year's MAINTAIN."
This year's fair will be rounded out by a program of
related events that will give MAINTAIN's trade visitors well-founded
information. They will deal with specific topics of interest to industry
representatives.
The new Trend Forum on "Qualified personnel in
the maintenance industry," which is being held at a special platform,
promises to be a highlight of MAINTAIN 2008. The forum shows that MAINTAIN is taking the
shortage of qualified personnel in the industrial-maintenance sector into
account. The Trend Forum was developed together with a group of exhibitors that
include Bosch Rexroth AG, Prüftechnik AG, MCE AG, SKF GmbH and ThyssenKrupp Industrieservice.
"Forum Vision Instandhaltung" (FVI), the European Federation of
National Maintenance Societies (EFNMS) and "verlag moderne industrie"
support the Trend Forum at MAINTAIN 2008 both technically and with regard to
content.
The Trend Forum in Hall 3,
which takes place on all three days of the fair, features panel discussions,
expert discussions, lectures, workshops and a maintenance parcourse on the
topics of education and training, specialization, courses of education, motivation
and information management. Exhibits (in one case, a model will be used to
measure vibrations) will be used to demonstrate practical solutions and training
concepts. The third day of the fair features a job and contact exchange where
companies with job openings can present themselves to current and future
maintenance specialists.
The
program of related events at MAINTAIN 2008 also includes other opportunities to
exchange information, communicate and discuss things with the industry's
leading specialists. The Exhibitor Forum, which is being organized by "verlag
moderne industrie," will feature an interesting series of scientific and
industry-related lectures on all three days of the fair. After the successful
premiere of the MAINTENANCE SUMMIT last year, "Management Circle AG"
is holding the second annual conference for modern maintenance management on October
14 and 15, 2008. The 2008 MAINTENANCE SUMMIT is a gathering for board members,
managing director, factory and plant managers and department heads in the
sectors for maintenance, engineering, technical services, facility management and
production. As in the past, guided tours at MAINTAIN 2008 will help to keep
things transparent in the software jungle. Visits to the stands of
approximately four suppliers with guides will demonstrate the various solution
approaches and core competencies. The guided tours will be hosted by market
observers and analysts from the Research Institute for Operations Management at
RWTH Aachen University
and Trovarit AG.
