The leading European trade fair for industrial maintenance does not take
place until this autumn, but this much is already clear: All of the industry’s
well-known companies will be represented. For the first time since its premiere
in 2005, the world’s largest international providers of industrial services
such as Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services, the Buchen Group (a Remondis subsidiary)
and Xervon are gathering at MAINTAIN 2012. MAINTAIN is being held at the MOC
Veranstaltungscenter in Munich from October 16 – 18. Several renowned companies were
early to announce that they are participating in the International Trade Fair
for Industrial Maintenance. They include Voith Industrial Services Process and Dipl.-Ing.
H. Weber, among others. There will also be a large number of small and
medium-sized enterprises as well as several trade associations such as “Wirtschaftsverband
für Industrieservice” (WVIS). All in all, more than 120 exhibitors have now
registered for the fair, and they will occupy nearly 80% of the available hall
space. Karin Hilf, Exhibition Director for MAINTAIN:
“Having the most important industrial-service companies together at a single
location proves that MAINTAIN has developed into a mandatory event for the
entire industry and that it lives up to its claim of being the leading European
trade fair.” The exhibition will be rounded out
by a multifaceted technical congress on all three days of the fair. In the
product-oriented part of the Exhibitor Forum, companies will have a chance to
present their innovations. The area devoted to process management will allow
visitors to gather information about the latest findings that pertain to
process optimization. They can also participate in guided tours on specific
themes through the exhibition halls. One of the main themes at this year’s
MAINTAIN is IT. Other key themes include manufacturing services and promoting
future professionals and talent in the maintenance sector. “Forum Vision Instandhaltung” (Forum
on Vision in Maintenance) is awarding a prize at this year’s MAINTAIN. The best
academic graduation theses on the topic of industrial maintenance will be
awarded a prize in three categories.
